Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to your questions about our 3D printing services.
Getting Started
How do I request a quote?
Simply fill out our contact form describing your project. You can include sketches, photos, or 3D files — whatever you have. Quotes are always free, and we respond within 2 business days.
Do I need a 3D file to get started?
Not at all! You can send us a sketch, a photo, measurements, or even just a description of what you need. If you don't have a 3D model, we can create one for you through our modeling service.
What file formats do you accept?
We accept all common 3D file formats, including .STL, .OBJ, .STEP, and .3MF. Not sure about your file? Just send it over and we'll take a look. Note: Make sure you have the rights to use the files you send us. We won't be responsible for any legal issues that may arise from using the provided files.
Can you create a 3D model from a photo or a sketch?
Absolutely. That's exactly what our 3D modeling service is for. Send us photos from different angles, a hand-drawn sketch, or even a description — we'll turn it into a printable 3D model.
Is the quote really free?
Yes, completely free and with no commitment. We'll assess your project and get back to you with a clear price and timeline.
Materials & Capabilities
Which material should I choose for my project?
It depends on what you need. PLA is great for decorative or display pieces. PETG offers a good balance of strength and ease. ABS handles heat well. ASA is perfect for outdoors usage. TPU is flexible. Nylon is very tough. Not sure? Just tell us about your project and we'll recommend the best option.
What's the maximum print size you can handle?
Our largest printer can produce parts up to 340 × 320 × 340 mm. For bigger projects, we can split the design into assemblable sections.
Can you print in different colors?
Yes, we offer a range of filament colors for most materials. Let us know your preference when requesting a quote and we'll confirm availability.
What level of detail can you achieve?
We can print at layer heights as fine as 0.1 mm with the machines we currently have, which means sharp details and smooth surfaces on most projects. Note that finer layer heights significantly increase print time, which may affect pricing.
Can you print functional or mechanical parts?
Yes. With the right material choice (PETG, ABS, ASA, Nylon, or TPU depending on the application), we can produce parts that are meant to be used, not just displayed — including gears, enclosures, clips, brackets, and replacement components.
Pricing & Payment
How is pricing calculated?
Pricing depends on the material used, the size of the part, its complexity, and the print time required. We calculate each quote individually so you only pay for what your project actually needs. There are no hidden fees.
Is there a minimum order amount?
No minimum. Whether it's a single custom piece or a batch of 200, we're happy to help.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfer. Payment details are included with your quote.
Timeline & Delivery
How long does a typical project take?
It varies by project. You'll receive your quote within 2 business days. Production time then depends on the complexity and size of the job — from a couple of days for simple parts to a week or more for larger or multi-step projects. We always give you a clear timeline upfront.
Do you deliver, or is it pickup only?
We offer both! You can pick up at our studio in Hélécine by appointment, if you are around, or we ship directly to your door anywhere in Belgium.
Do you ship outside Belgium?
Yes, we ship throughout the EU. Shipping costs depend on the destination and are included in your quote.
Can you handle rush orders?
It really depends on the load on the machines. Let us know your deadline when requesting a quote and we'll do our best to accommodate it.
Quality & Guarantees
What if I'm not satisfied with the result?
Your satisfaction really matters to us. If the delivered part doesn't match the agreed specifications, contact us and we'll find a solution — whether that's a reprint or an adjustment.
What happens if there's a defect in the print?
If a manufacturing defect occurs on our end (failed print, dimensional error, material flaw), we reprint at no extra cost. We inspect every part before shipping to minimize this risk.
Is my project kept confidential?
Yes. We treat every project with professional discretion. Your designs, files, and ideas remain yours. If you need a formal confidentiality agreement, just let us know.
